Margaret (also known as Peggy) has practiced
law with Bunger &
Robertson since 1994. Prior to joining the firm she practiced with the estate planning group
of Sidley & Austin, Chicago, from 1984 to 1990 and in private
practice in Bloomington from 1990 to 1994.
Peggy represents
individuals in their estate planning, providing wills, trusts and
related documents, estate and gift tax counsel, and advice regarding
Medicaid and elder law issues,
retirement benefits, business succession and charitable giving.
Peggy also acts as legal counsel to individuals
and institutions involved in the settlement of estates and trusts
after death, working with executors, trustees, and beneficiaries on
probate proceeding, inheritance and estate tax filings, and
distributions to beneficiaries.
Peggy also has significant experience representing
new and existing charities and other nonprofit organizations, and
has taught the law of nonprofits and charities to law school students
and to professional managers of these organizations.
