WILLIAM J. BEGGS
Partner
Bill is a partner practicing primarily in the
areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, and general business representation. He has extensive experience handling complex civil litigation
in both state and federal court, and has served as
lead counsel in trials to juries and to the bench. In representing business clients, Bill assists
in forming business organizations, including corporations, LLCs
and partnerships. Bill also assists business
clients with contractual matters, employment matters, negotiations
and dissolutions. He has also practiced before planning and zoning boards
throughout the state on behalf of wireless communication companies.
Bill’s professional activities include
membership in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates and
membership as a director of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
Other activities include serving as
an adjunct instructor at Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Past-President of the Monroe County Bar
Association, and member of the House of Delegates to the Indiana State
Bar Association. In addition, Bill has served Monroe County
government as a member
of the Zoning Ordinance Committee and performed pro bono services
for various organizations.
Bill is a Bloomington native and is active in the community. He has
served as president of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of
Bloomington, Inc. and the Bloomington Central Lions Club, and
serves on the Board of Directors of the Monroe County YMCA. Bill has
also been involved with his church, Leadership Bloomington–Monroe
County, youth sports, and numerous other local organizations.
